Child Care Subsidy Changes – From July 2nd 2018

CLICK HERE TO APPLY FOR THE NEW CHILD CARE SUBSIDY BEFORE JULY 2ND

Australia will have a New Child Care Package from 2 July 2018 when the Child Care Subsidy replaces the Child Care Rebate and Child Care Benefit.

From 2 July 2018, the child care fee assistance your family receives will change.

Your information does not automatically rollover to the new system and you may not receive any subsidy if your assessment is not completed.

Families who intend to use child care from 2 July 2018 will need to complete a Child Care Subsidy assessment online through their myGov account, otherwise they may be required to pay full fees. If you do not have a myGov account you will need to make one first which you can do here.

The new Child Care Subsidy will be paid directly to child care providers. There will be more support for families under the new arrangements, with most lower and middle-income families eligible to receive a higher subsidy than they do now.

Recent updates to the Consumer Price Index have seen the hourly rate caps and annual caps increase. The new amounts will apply from 2 July 2018 and will be indexed annually.
