Mittigar
Welcome!
We have been granted permission from the school to open a second centre on site known as Mittigar.
Mittigar is a Dharug word for “friend” for example if you were to say, “‘Warami mittigar.” or “Cooeee mittigar” then you are saying “Welcome friend,” or “Come here friend.”
We chose the name Mittigar because the children wanted to call the new centre the “Friendly centre” and others suggested we use Aboriginal languages. This was a beautiful combination of both ideas.
Mittigar is currently open to students of Roseville Public School for years 4 to 6 for Before and After School Care. We also run Vacation Care Programs during school holidays.
- Before School Care operates Monday – Thursday from 7am-9:00am
- After School Care operates Monday – Friday from 3:10pm – 6pm
We run Vacation Care during school holiday times. Please see SmartCentral for our brochures on upcoming programs and to enrol for Vacation Care.
The Mittigar Centre is not currently open for Before School Care on Fridays at this stage, but everyone can attend Friday Before School Care at our Babbage Road centre.
We are very grateful to have this opportunity to expand and be closer connected to Roseville Public school and it’s wonderful community.
